Winery
Towards the end of the last Century, The Barkan Winery set a strategic plan to reach its peak in the local wine market. Special grape seeds were extracted from various parts of the world, and were planted in the Barkan vineyards all over the country.

In 2000, Barkan opened a new and more efficient winery in Kibbutz Hulda, located in the Yehuda Plains. This facility was customized to fit the needs of the 21st Century, and consisted of advanced equipment from all over the world, including a room with over 5,000 types of wine casks.

The Barkan wines are made from dozens of grape seeds planted across 2,471 acres of grape vines. The seeds are planted in areas with conditions most suitable for their growth. Due to the wide variety of grape seeds, customized plantations, suitable fermentation techniques and the wide range of casks, the Barkan Winery is considered to be the vintners’ “Garden of Eden”. The Barkan winemakers have made quite a name for themselves worldwide, and have won many prizes.

In 2012, the Barkan Winery officially unveiled the “Barkan Experience” a unique visitors and wine appreciation center with world-wide standards. The biggest center in the Middle East, this center offers visitors wine tasting tours, and wine workshops for personal enrichment.
